YOUR FAMILY?”
TEXT: Joshua 24:14-15
I.
CHOOSE TO GIVE
GOD THE PLACE HE DESERVES IN YOUR
FAMILY
(Joshua 24:14a) “Now
fear the Lord and serve him with all faithfulness.”

II.
CHOOSE TO MAKE
ROOM FOR GOD TO BE GOD IN YOUR FAMILY
(Joshua 24:14) “Now
fear the Lord and serve him with all faithfulness. Throw away the gods your
forefathers worshipped beyond the River and in
(Joshua 24:19b) “He is
a holy God; he is a jealous God.”
(Genesis 35:2) “So
Jacob said to his household and to all who were with him, ‘Get rid of the
foreign gods you have with you, and purify yourselves and change your clothes.’”

they gave Jacob all the foreign gods they had and the rings in their ears, and

III.
CHOOSE TO BE
A FAMILY THAT SERVES GOD REGARDLESS OF WHAT OTHERS DO
(Joshua 24:15) “But if serving the Lord seems undesirable
to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the
gods your forefathers served beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in
whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the
Lord.”

choose for yourselves…”
