Pastor Jerry Miranda
During my recent study time, I read the 33rd Chapter of Exodus, where Moses took a daily walk, that I shall call a "God Walk".
He went out to the "Tent of Meeting", a tent outside the camp, where he prayed to God. As he did his God Walk, the people stood in front of their tents and watched him make his way to the Tent. He remained there for an undisclosed amount of time. When he returned to his tent, the people again, stood in the doorway of their tent, and watched him pass by. The return walk was very much different than the approach. It was different because Moses was different. He was somehow changed. They could see a change in his countenance. There was a brightness about him. that was there because of his time with the Lord. Moses had a meeting with God in the Tent of Meeting. He didn't merely "tell" God what he and the people needed. He heard from God! Hearing from God made a difference in him.
I am challenged by these words to wait upon God in my prayer time. Yes, I will tell Him what is on my heart, then I will listen! I want to rise differently than when I knelt.
I need it, the people around me deserve to see a difference in the life of a believer. My Lord can make the difference if I will wait until I hear from Him.
